Dave founded Flooring Foundation in 2013, as a means of leveraging his more than thirty years of experience in the commercial flooring industry. Why Commercial Flooring?
Like many college graduates, David searched for, and ultimately accepted, an employment opportunity in an industry he had no actual experience in… but thought he might find personally and professionally challenging. In 1986 he became a sales representative for a flooring distributor.
Ironically, Dave’s father was a chemist, employed by Armstrong (a pretty big name in the flooring industry). Dave was impressed with his father’s social network there and the people Dave met, but instead of leveraging his Armstrong connection he went down his own path.
Dave’s base of experience prior to starting Flooring Foundation is rooted in many of the top flooring resources in the industry. These included sales and sales leadership positions with:
- Shaw Industries
- Resource NJ (division of Interface, Inc.)
- A. Pomerantz & Co.
Through these companies, and his various positions within each, Dave received a tremendous education which he shares with his clients.
